0.22 g of carbon that stops your whoop from twisting.

A tiny whoop's weakest point is the moment its four motor mounts start moving independently. Under hard cornering, and on every crash, the frame twists, the motors lean, and the tune you set on the bench quietly drifts away from you.

The X-Brace ties all four motor mounts together with a single piece of carbon. It sits across the top of the motors and shares the motor mount screws, so nothing is added to the build but 0.22 g — roughly a tenth the weight of a modern 65 mm frame.

The result is an airframe that holds its shape. Motor axes stay where they belong, the ducts stop flexing into the props, and crash loads are spread across the whole frame instead of being absorbed by a single mount.

Features

  • Carbon X that locks all four motor mounts into one rigid structure
  • 0.22 g — about 10% of a 2.2 g frame
  • Mounts using the motor screws; no extra hardware in the build
  • Keeps motor alignment consistent, crash after crash
  • Spreads impact across the airframe rather than one mount

Compatibility

  • BETAFPV Air65 — bolt-on. No modification needed.
  • BETAFPV Air65 II — bolt-on. No modification needed.
  • BETAFPV Air65 Champion — a small amount of trimming is required. See below.

Fitting to the Air65 Champion

On the Champion frame, each motor mount has a small raised area at the root of the duct spoke facing the centre of the frame. It holds the brace up and stops it sitting flat.

Pare that area down with a hobby knife until it is flush with the surface around it.

When the brace lies flat against all four mounts with no rocking, you are done.
